So, I'm actually on holiday now! Today we went on a big shopping trip to some of the small malls around Orlando, then on to Florida Mall.
During the morning I recieved a message on my phone. It was from my e-mail to say I had recieved a message from yummy jobs! I opened up the message and showed the first couple of words... 'Many thanks for your..'
My heart started beating faster! That was all I could read. The rest of the day all I could think about was finding some wireless internet connection.
Last stop of the day, Florida Mall, and there it was, the Apple Store! Standing outside I got a connection on my phone and read the rest of the message.
'Many thanks for taking time in the pre-screen interview for the Disney's Cultural Representative Program. We were impressed with your performance and delighted to invite you to the final interview stage.'
I'd made it to the face to face!! I was soooooo happy I actually nearly cried!! Lol! I had to confirm my attendence before the 17th September so I still had to get a proper connection at some point but for then, I was happy enough just to read the e-mail!
I'll post again when I've confirmed my place, or if I hear any more news

25th August: Telephone Interview!
Today I had my telephone interview for Walt Disney World! OMG I was soooo nervous! When I was on the phone I could hear and feel my voice shaking, felt like a total idiot!
The interview started with confirming my address and all my details and then I was asked about my job at the moment. I was also asked how I feel about living in residence, and as I do already I could answer that quite easy.
Then it got to the part where I had to talk about where I come from. I had many things to say, like a famous railway tunnel, a writer, music studios etc etc but then I was asked details about these things! Even though I had done my research it was more quanity then quality. If you want my advice, research less things in detail!!
After my interview I thought it really didn't go too well. I knew I'd done the best I could but really didn't think I'd done enough. I got told I would find out after the closing date and up to two weeks after. Apparently they'd already had 900 applications and there was still two weeks to go! I feel so lucky.
So now, all I can do is wait, and look forward to my amazing holiday! Woooo

Any News Is Good News?
So, today when I arrived home, I checked my e-mails, just like every other day, even though I know full well there's still another 2 weeks until the closing date of the Cultural Representative Job, and like always, there was no new e-mails. But then something caught my eye! I had a message in my junk mail. Seeing as YummyJobs are the only people with my address, I decided to open it, and there it was,
'You have been invited to a Phone Interview at YummyJobs.'
I was so shocked I actually cried! Haha I know, what a loser! The e-mail told me to log onto YummyJobs to select my date and time slot for the interview.
Opening the link for the times, I could not believe how many different choices there were, 5 different days and times from about 10-4. I decided to go for a time on the Wednesday as thats one of my days off, and as I am not an early riser, I picked an early afternoon slot, confirmed my telephone numbers and saved it!
Now I am so nervous and can't help but think that by the end of next week, I could've screwed up my whole application!!
I'll write again next week about the interview to let you know how bad I mess up! Haha

Today Is The Day
As quoted by my friend when I first logged onto MSN this morning, 'Today is the day.' You may wonder, what day? but to me, this is the day I have been waiting for, for at least 5 months! Let me explain;
I recently found out about the Walt Disney World Cultural Representative Programme, and my god! how much do I want to be a part of it!! For months now all I have been able to talk about is applying, but applications only open twice a year, in January and June, and as it was around Feb I found out about this, so I had to wait until June.
With the date slowly approaching, I began working on my Cv and cover letter for the application, and along the way, my friend decided to apply with me! But as the date drew nearer and nearer, I was no where near ready to apply, my Cv was a mess and my letter was pretty none exsistent. So we both put off the application and decided we would apply on July 15th no matter what. So, here we are!!
After a few problems uploading my Cv, I finally managed to apply. What a weight off my shoulders! Although now, we will not find out any information until after the closing date, which is September the 6th, the day I leave to go on holiday to Florida!! Now I am full of nerves and know I will be until I hear any information, good or bad!
Even though this is my first blog, it will probably be my last until I have any more information or feel the need to write. Until then, Im going to find things to keep me busy and prepare for my holiday.
